LET'S GO TO QUEENS
I shot a few new looks in Astoria, Queens this weekend.
My photographer friend Jackie (@venturingjax) lives in Astoria and RAVES about how great it is lol. She really loves that place. I’ve actually only been there a few times to look at an apartment (that I lost within 24 hours because I didn’t fill out the application that same day :-/ #nychousingstruggle) and then again to hang out with my sister a few times. On second thought, I actually think my sis and I might’ve been in Long Island City which is pretty close by…not sure where one ends and one begins honestly.
Anyway, I think I’ve decided that I like Astoria. It’s an interesting little place — quiet and peaceful but not boring, lots of great food options and a melting pot of people. We shot in a few different areas and the passersby were nice and gracious — moving out of the shots and complimenting my outfits lol. NY is chocked full of really cute little areas like Astoria that are culturally diverse and not as “mainstream” as Manhattan, but still nice places to settle and build a life.
In these shots, I wore a full Shein look (sweater and pants) with my white DSW boots and a white faux leather hat from Necessary Clothing. I topped it all off with a rhinestone choker and a smile. ;) I honestly need to purchase Shein stock at this point. I buy so much shit from there, it’s ridiculous! They need to sponsor me, man. Somebody make that happen. I’m speaking it into existence now that I’ll be an influencer for that brand by next year. LETTUCE PRAY.
What do you think of this pairing? I already want to wear these pants again because they’re so comfy and form-fitting. I didn’t even bother retouching the slight bunching of the pants in some of these pics…pants like this just do that naturally and this blog is about REAL PEOPLE (i.e. me) WEARING REAL CLOTHES lol.
Now on to figure out more ways to style my white boots and not wear them completely out before the summer graces us with her lovely presence. *skips away in the white boots* Bye guys! Have a great rest of the week. xoxox - Ashley
