#ACESLIST - VOL. 6
It’s time for another #AcesList!
I feel like it’s been a minute since the last one on NYE so it’s time to get into the goodies of the moment. First things first, it’s #NYFW and I’m excited about spending this weekend at shows, panels, pop-ups, etc. Do you have any plans for fashion week? Let me know in the comments below!
In the meantime, here are the things that have been “sparking joy” in my life lately.

{{WHAT I’M EATING}}
I’ve been loving these Pistachio Cranberry Bites from Trader Joe’s as an easy snack at work when I need something semi-sweet and relatively filling. They’re a small, bite-sized nut/berry snack that can combat your sweet tooth and hunger cravings while you’re typing away at your desk or sitting in that monotonous 5th meeting of the day. I constantly try new snacks at TJ’s so that I don’t get bored eating just one thing andddd so that I don’t buy chips from the vending machine…which, let’s be honest…happens anyway lol. Actually, I rarely buy chips but I LOVE White Cheddar Cheez-Its so this healthier option helps me reach for something other than fake cheese crackers everyday.

{{WHAT I’M READING]]
I have to plug my first feature article (YET AGAIN) because I’ve literally read it like 428 times and I’m still so proud to be recognized and featured in this way. Please take a look if you haven’t already! Shout out to Jhenene for using her platform to showcase the works of black women in the fashion industry. Bravo, girl. <3
I’m also constantly reading new books and I want to highlight a pretty good one that I read recently. November 9 by Colleen Hoover was so cute. The premise was really interesting and the plot twist made for good suspense that kept me engaged the whole way through. Colleen Hoover pretty much always gets it right so I’d suggest that you check out her portfolio if you’re in the market for a new, interesting author.

{{WHAT I’M CONTEMPLATING]]
I had an AHA! moment in therapy this week. We were discussing how different people process issues in various ways and I realized that I like to problem solve quickly and get past whatever is causing the issue. However, there are people that need time and space to process things and I shouldn’t take it as a personal affront when the person distances themselves from me to work through whatever the issue may be. Sometimes, people aren’t looking for (or can’t really handle) an immediate resolution. They need to work through it on their own time and don’t need me rushing to hastily move past it. WHEW! That was a revelation to me. I’ve never understood why folks like to harp on things and drag them out forever when we could just talk it out now and keep it moving. But, I’ve realized in certain situations, that I’m not allowing the other person to process in their own time. Now that I’m aware of it, I’ll try to keep that in mind whenever conflict arises in my life with the people that I care about.

{{WHAT I’M BUYING}}
New coats! I just got this houndstooth coat from Shein and this leopard print coat from NastyGal. I can’t wait to wear them! The houndstooth coat is apart of my outfit for tomorrow’s #NYFW activities so you’ll see it reallll soon. As long as the outfit looks the way I see it in my head. I’m constantly thinking of cute outfits but there are times when I try on the look and it’s ridiculous so we shall see lol. I also purchased these tartan trousers from Shein so I’ll be styling them in the near future.
And that’s all folks! How’d you like today’s #AcesList? Let me know if there are ever any specific topics that you’d like to me discuss or products that you’d like me to review. Happy to oblige. ;) Have an amazing weekend and we’ll chat soon. xoxox - Ash
