GRAYSCALE
I’ve been trying to shop my closet a little more lately.
Blogging makes you feel like you need new clothes every week lol. You feel the need to shoot something new and exciting when you likely already have some good stuff to choose from right in your repertoire. So, with that in mind, I pulled out this gray and teal blazer from Target that I’ve had for YEARS and paired it with my silver Zara boots and a new (oops lol) pair of jeans from Aerie. Honestly, I’m on the fence with these jeans. I really like the fit but I was hoping the leg wouldn’t be so flared…I thought I was essentially buying cropped wide leg jeans not cropped flares. They don’t exactly give me the vibe I was going for. I guess the search is still on for the perfect pair of cropped, distressed jeans that aren’t stretchy. But, that search will continue for a while because like I said, I need to be shopping this here closet first! ;)
In other completely unrelated news, I just finished the most amazing book! I’ve seen it on a few “favorites of 2018” lists and one of my favorite OG bloggers @brooklynblonde featured it as well. Once I saw that she loved it, I knew I had to read it. It was such an interesting, unexpected story and I was completely engrossed the whole way through. I’ve been really into stories (movies & books) that veer away from the norm lately. I consume so much content that I’m now craving something different. Enough of these same love stories, dramatic cat fights, etc. I’d highly recommend this book if you’re into Contemporary Fiction (I just made up that genre, not even sure that that is a thing but it works LOL).
What are some of your favorite books? Do you reread the classics or search for new things to dive into each time? Maybe I’ll do a post about my favorite things soon…
Thanks so much for reading. xoxo - Ashley
