#NYFW - Day 3
Ok, so Fashion Week content is coming to an end…
Day 3 was pretty awesome if I do say so myself. I started the day at the Shopbop/Tezza/Levi’s pop-up in Soho and it was so cute! I never shop at Shopbop because the prices are a little steep but they have some amazing, quality pieces that I reallllyyyy love. I’m also thoroughly obsessed with @Tezza [look her up if you aren’t already following the amazingness that is her IG] so I knew I had to check out the event. I perused the collections, met an inspiring blogger who asked for my advice on diving into this crazy world, got my pic taken by a few photographers inside the store, and then I ran into 2 fellow bloggers whose work I love — @Astyledmind and @Joyofmylife! Of course, I had to grab a few pics with both ladies and chat about the other events we had on the docket for the day. Then, my friend joined me and we headed to The Stewart Hotel for the Pret a’ Porter show at 4pm.
The show was full of unique designs that I loved. It was comprised of a few designers that had vastly different collections — one was very bridal-esque with lots of white and lace, one was full of vibrant prints and ball gowns, etc. I snagged a few pics so check them out below. I’ve also been saving all my Fashion Week content under the #NYFW2019 highlight on my IG page. I posted a few videos there to really show the movement of the pieces for your viewing pleasure. ;)
After the show, one of my photographer friends met us at the hotel so we could shoot the look I was wearing in addition to another outfit that I had packed. We shot around the Penn Station/Herald Square area and I really love how the shots came out! And for an added bonus — my friend was hanging out with us and got some cool BTS footage of us shooting. I posted a video (for the first time) on my feed and it got WAYYYYY more traction than anything I’ve ever posted in life. So, obviously, video is interesting to people. Duly noted!
After we wrapped the shoot, we headed to the Union Square area to dine at ABC Kitchen for a lovely dinner. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better day — for a better few days, really. #NYFW was so much fun this time around because I really tried to immerse myself in as much as possible and I felt like a legit blogger who actually belonged there. Like I could actually run with the big dogs as they say ha. Of course, I have a looonnnggg way to go in this blogging world but those few days gave me more confidence in my style and what I’m doing. I’m already looking forward to the shows and events in February and I plan on topping myself with even better looks and more fun content. So, what do you think of this outfit? It’s a mix of me shopping my closet and wearing a few new things that I saved for a special occasion.
The top is new from Necessary Clothing, the sparkly leggings and white blazer are old Forever21 , the boots are old Vince Camuto and the earrings were from a Cocktails with Claire event a while back. Hope you like it! I’m all done with Fashion Week content but I have some new events to tell you about real soon. Have a restful (or rowdy, if that’s your speed) weekend, peeps! Love you much. xox - Ashley
